President Biden has officially come in support of Israel. The Administration has promised the delivery of weapons.

In response, a top US diplomat has resigned, saying he cannot support the Administration’s war policy. Fox News reports:

A Biden administration official has resigned from the State Department, citing President Biden’s announcement of material support for Israel. The official said he “cannot work” as the U.S. helps Israel in its war against the Hamas terrorist group.

Josh Paul, who worked for the State Department’s Bureau of Political-Military Affairs, where he was responsible for transferring arms to key American allies, posted his resignation letter on social media. In it, he said “continued lethal assistance to Israel” prompted his decision to leave.

A US ship has intercepted Houthi rebel missiles out of Yemen aimed for Israel. ABC News says:

The USS Carney, a U.S. Navy guided-missile destroyer in the northern Red Sea, on Thursday shot down multiple missiles and drones launched by Iranian-backed Houthis in Yemen that the Pentagon said were potentially headed toward targets in Israel.

It is the first time in recent memory that a U.S. Navy ship in the Middle East has engaged missiles and drones that were not directly aimed at the vessel.

While this diplomat respected the executive by bowing out, the US Government could be full of Hamas sympathizers.
