Ukraine Frontline Sees Major Change

1 min read

While the world has been focused on the Israel-Gaza War, the Ukraine-Russian War has been seeing shifts.

Ukrainian troops have punched through local Russian defense, despite the latter benefiting from the Dnipro River. The NY Post says:

Ukrainian forces ramped up their attacks on Russian-held territory in the south while holding off Moscow’s assaults on the eastern town of Avdiivka, according to military experts and officials.

The Ukrainian military broke through the enemy lines after intensified assaults across the Dnipro River, near the southern city of Kherson.

The tally for destroyed Russian tanks is rather high, the equivalent of an armored battalion. Business Insider reports:

Ukraine claimed that its forces destroyed nearly 50 Russian tanks in one day, as Russia tried to capture Avdiivka, a small city in the east of the country.

The Ukrainian General Staff said that in one day of fighting, nearly 900 Russians were killed and 100 units of their armored equipment were also destroyed.

The two wars of that America is now supporting is stretching its defense sector thin. While the US military has numerous weapon systems, its stock of munitions is dangerously low and its manufacturing sector is paining to catch up.
