Disgusting Attack in France Highlights Growing Antisemitism

1 min read

Both Macron and his right-wing rival Marine Le Pen have condemned the rape of a 12 year old Jewish girl by Muslim teens. The number of antisemitic attacks have ground tremendously since the Israel-Hamas War following the October 7 attacks.

Notably absent from the criticism were the leftist parties, who have adopted a Third-Worldist platform and quietly brushing aside any crimes committed by immigrants or Radical Islamists. Fox News reports:

French President Emmanuel Macron and his far-right rival, Marine Le Pen, both condemned the gang rape of a 12-year-old Jewish girl in what authorities categorized as an antisemitic attack in a Paris suburb.

During a Council of Ministers meeting on Wednesday, Macron said that French schools are being threatened by a “scourge of antisemitism” after a 12-year-old girl told police she had been in a park near her home in Courbevoie, northwest of Paris, with a friend on Saturday when three boys, two 13-year-olds and one 12-year-old, approached her. She allegedly was dragged into a shed and raped while they made antisemitic remarks.

Most French Jews are not of Ashkenazi (Central European) descent, but rather Sephardic refugees from North Africa. Following the Algerian War, several thousands of Christian and Jewish people escaped to France, where many were housed next to Muslim populations. The Washington Post says:

Reports of antisemitic acts have skyrocketed in France, with French Jews expressing alarm for their safety. The Interior Ministry recorded 1,676 antisemitic attacks last year, a fourfold increase over 2022. The majority of the recorded acts took place in November and December, after Hamas’s Oct. 7 attack on Israel and the start of Israel’s war in Gaza.

In April, French Interior Minister Gérald Darmanin ordered local officials to step up security at synagogues and Jewish schools.

France’s inability to prevent the now routine antisemitic crimes is leading the Jewish population to consider emigration to Israel. Many Jews, whose political history long precluded them to vote for right-wing parties in France, have now been willing to vote for the “far-right” Nationalist parties.
